About the Role
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Japanese teachers to join their Foreign Languages team. This role focuses on teaching face-to-face adult group classes, with most lessons taking place in the evenings and some on Sunday mornings. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Japanese lessons to adult learners.
- Design creative and effective learning materials.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
- Complete attendance records and progress reports as needed.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Native or proficient Japanese speaker
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Initial Japanese teaching qualification
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience to groups
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- 420-hour Japanese language teacher training course or equivalent
- Experience teaching using Minna no Nihongo
- Bachelor's Degree in Japanese Language Education
- Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
- Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses
