Japanese Language Teacher to Adults

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Japanese teachers to join our Foreign Languages team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. This role focuses on teaching face-to-face adult group classes with most lessons taking place in the evenings and some on Sunday mornings. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Japanese lessons to adult learners.
• Design creative and effective learning materials.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
• Complete attendance records and progress reports as needed.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Native or Proficient Japanese speaker
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Initial Japanese teaching qualification
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience to groups
• Bachelor's degree
• Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• 420-hour Japanese language teacher training course or equivalent Japanese teacher training course
• Experience teaching using Minna no Nihongo
• Bachelor's Degree in Japanese Language Education
• Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
• Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses
