Job Description
Supporting pupils throughout the school day, SEND Teaching Assistants help create calm and structured learning environments. The focus is on providing tailored academic and emotional support, adapting tasks where needed, and helping pupils feel secure and confident in the classroom. Strong communication, patience, and consistency are essential, alongside a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Supports pupils with SEND in lessons and structured interventions.
- Works closely with teachers to adapt learning activities.
- Promotes confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Maintains safeguarding, care, and wellbeing standards.
Desired Experience + Qualifications
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with special needs and learning difficulties, as well as possessing patience, creativity and passion for making a difference to the lives of children and young people. A clean DBS check, experience with SEND, classroom and behaviour management skills.

Our partnered school, which is based in Birmingham, caters to the special educational needs of children between the ages of 5 - 11. They aim to provide a nurturing environment where they can support students with a wide range of complex conditions, including ASC, ADHD and Attachment Disorder.
