Job Description

Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.

  • Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
  • Delivers small group or individual interventions.
  • Supports classroom organisation and resources.
  • Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting learning in primary settings
  • Understanding of the Pupil Premium framework or similar interventions
  • Positive, nurturing, and collaborative approach
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or above qualification preferred
