Job Description

Supporting pupils throughout the school day, SEND Teaching Assistants help create calm and structured learning environments. The focus is on providing tailored academic and emotional support, adapting tasks where needed, and helping pupils feel secure and confident in the classroom. Strong communication, patience, and consistency are essential, alongside a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

• Supports pupils with SEND in lessons and structured interventions.
• Works closely with teachers to adapt learning activities.
• Promotes confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Maintains safeguarding, care, and wellbeing standards.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of working with children with SEND.
• Energetic and compassionate approach, with the ability to engage actively with students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
• A valid driving license is preferred due to the school's location and potential travel requirements.
