Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Within the classroom, Teaching Assistants contribute to a positive and well-organised learning environment. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.

  • Provides classroom-based support during lessons.
  • Delivers small group or individual interventions.
  • Supports classroom organisation and resources.
  • Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/education qualifications.
  • Previous experience within a school setting, particularly working with students in Year 3 or Year 1.
  • Passion for creating an environment where every child's unique needs are met.
