Turbomachinery Design Engineer

We support the leading aerospace, defense, and cleantech companies with advanced simulation software and engineering services to help develop their products and stay at the cutting edge of technology, whether that be rocket engines or Formula One racing cars. We are looking for an experienced Turbomachinery Design Engineer with a strong background in CAD to join our UK-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and designing 3D models, assemblies, and drawings of mechanical components for different types of turbomachinery. The ideal candidate will also have managerial experience and the ability to lead a small design team.

Responsibilities

  • Design 3D models, assemblies, and drawings of mechanical components and products
  • Develop and optimize designs that meet specified requirements
  • Investigate and resolve product design problems
  • Ensure design accuracy and integrity
  • Utilize CAD software to generate designs, drawings, and assemblies
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure product success
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Create and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related science, with at least 5 years of work experience
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience with CAD software
  • Strong practical background in mechanical engineering principles
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Advanced or fluent English level
