FULL DESCRIPTION

Inside Sales Trainee

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for an inside sales trainee/intern in the Bristol, UK area who is highly motivated, energetic, and has excellent communication skills. This position focuses on identifying new prospective customers for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s turbomachinery and system simulation software through market research, internet and social data mining, cold calling, and email outreach. The role also involves active interaction with engineers on our technical sales team. This is a temporary position lasting 3 to 6 months. Trainees may be considered for a permanent role based on performance evaluations at the end of the training period.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up appointments for the sales and engineering team by conducting research, sending emails, and making phone calls.
  • Conduct industry, company, and prospect research using online tools and scientific publications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering staff for support on prospect calls, application questions, and other resources.
  • Maintain and track records of calls, appointments and field marketing event attendance.
  • Manage field marketing activities for prospects, including but not limited to event preparation, marketing, attendance, and follow-up.

Essential Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and persistent
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to conduct prospecting, research, and outbound phone calls
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficiency with internet research, social media, and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn technical and product knowledge

Additional Qualifications Desired

  • Knowledge of engineering simulation products
  • Experience with inside sales
  • Ability to deliver a sales pitch to cold prospects
  • Strong market research skills
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn and CRM tools
