Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer for field-based work in Newport, UK. The role offers two paths: Elite (includes warrant officer and debt visits) or Non-Elite (metering only). Permanent full-time position with base salary £43,260 and realistic earning potential £50K–£55K, plus retention bonus.
The Role
You’ll work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Elite Engineers undertake friendly debt resolution and warrant duties; Non-Elite engineers focus purely on technical metering work. All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, and Gas U16–U40.
What We Need from You
- ‘Can-do’ attitude and willingness to take on field metering tasks.
- Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems.
- Friendly, professional customer interactions.
- Elite Engineers: Warrant Officer and friendly debt resolution visits.
- Non-Elite Engineers: Core dual fuel metering duties only.
- Compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle.
- Open to ongoing development and mentoring.
