Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer

Compensation: £43,260 - £55,000/year (Elite Dual Fuel) or £38,110 - £40,170 (Non-Elite)

Reports to: Regional Field Manager

Retention Bonus: Up to £60,000 after three years

Role Overview

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is growing and offers two career paths: Elite Engineer (includes Warrant Officer and debt resolution) and Non-Elite Dual Fuel (metering only). Both roles involve safe installation, exchange, commissioning, and maintenance of gas and electricity metering systems. Rotating shift patterns: 6am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 11am-7pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment.
  • Deliver friendly, professional customer interactions.
  • Elite only: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits and act as Warrant Officer (supported).
  • Non-Elite: Focus on core metering duties, no warrant or debt work.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Manage stock, tools, and company vehicle.
  • Participate in ongoing training and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Essential: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience, CMA1/CCN1 + MET1, Certificate in Power.
  • Desirable: MET4, CT, Three Phase, REGT1.
  • UK Driving Licence.
  • Pass colour blindness test and DBS check.
  • 'Can-do' attitude and willingness to learn.
