Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer in Falkirk. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role with a salary starting at £43,260/year and realistic earning potential up to £55K.
The Role & What We Need from Yü
You’ll work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services.
Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits and attend warrants as the on-site engineer or Warrant Officer.
Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work — no warrant or debt visits.
All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, and Gas U16–U40. Future progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, or Regional Field Manager.
What We Need from Yü
- Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to take on a variety of field metering tasks.
- Responsible for safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems and equipment.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer interactions reflecting company values.
- Elite Engineers undertake Warrant Officer and friendly debt resolution visits; Non-Elite focus exclusively on core dual fuel metering.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, metering standards, and company procedures.
- Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle care.
- Work collaboratively and be open to ongoing development through technical training and mentoring.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
Desirable: MET4, Current Transformer (CT), Three Phase, REGT1.
Additional Requirements: UK Driving Licence, pass colour blindness test, pass DBS check.
