Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
Elite & Non Elite Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
- Retention Bonus Scheme: Up to £60,000 payable after three years
- Reports to: Regional Field Manager
- Location: Field UK Based - Galashiels
- Working hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (rotating shifts: 6am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 11am-7pm)
- Salary Options: Elite Dual Fuel £43,260 (realistic earning £50K–£55K); Dual Fuel Only £38,110; London rates available
The Role & What We Need from Yü
You’ll work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Elite Engineers undertake debt resolution and warrant duties; Non-Elite focus purely on metering. All engineers receive full technical support and upskilling opportunities in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, and Gas U16–U40.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass a colour blindness test
- Pass a DBS check
Desirable:
- MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1 – Medium Pressure
