Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer for field-based work in Galloway. This role offers a choice between Elite (including Warrant Officer duties) and Non-Elite (purely metering) paths. Full-time, permanent, with shift rotation.

The Role & What We Need from Yü
You will work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Depending on role choice:
- Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits, alternate between attending Warrants as on-site engineer and acting as Warrant Officer.
- Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work — no Warrant or debt visits.
All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, Gas U16–U40. Future progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
What We Need from Yü: Can-do attitude, safe installation/commissioning/maintenance of metering systems, professional customer interactions, compliance with health and safety, accountability for stock/tools/vehicle, collaborative teamwork, openness to development.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass colour blindness test and DBS check
Desirable: MET4, CT, Three Phase, REGT1.
