Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (2 Different Roles)
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking skilled Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineers for field-based positions in Llandudno, UK. Two distinct roles are available: Elite (including Warrant Officer duties) and Non-Elite (pure metering). This is a permanent, full-time onsite opportunity with a competitive salary and retention bonus.
Role Overview
You will work in the commercial sector ensuring safe and efficient gas and electricity metering services. Elite Engineers handle friendly debt resolution and Warrants; Non-Elite Engineers focus solely on technical metering. All engineers receive full technical support and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems
- Professional customer interactions reflecting company values
- Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle
- Collaborate with team and management to achieve goals
- Open to ongoing development and training
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass colour blindness test and DBS check
Desirable:
- MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1 – Medium Pressure
Compensation & Benefits
Salary options: Elite Dual Fuel £43,260 (realistic £50K–£55K); Non-Elite £38,110; London Elite £45,320; London Non-Elite £40,170. Retention bonus up to £60,000 after three years. Additional benefits include 24 days annual leave + bank holidays, holiday buy, birthday day off, employee assistance programme, and more.
