The Role & What We Need from Yü
You’ll work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Depending on role choice:
- Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits, alternate between Warrants as engineer and Warrant Officer.
- Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work — no Warrant or debt visits.
All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and upskilling in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16–U40. Career progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
What We Need from Yü:
- ‘Can-do’ attitude and willingness to take on varied field metering tasks.
- Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, maintenance of metering systems.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer interactions.
- Elite Engineers: Undertake Warrant Officer and debt resolution visits (supported by back-office).
- Non-Elite Engineers: Focus on core dual fuel metering duties.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, metering standards, company procedures.
- Accountability for stock, tools, company vehicle.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management.
- Open to ongoing development through technical training and mentoring.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
Desirable: MET4, CT, Three Phase, REGT1. Additional: UK Driving Licence, pass colour blindness test, pass DBS check.
