Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (2 Different Roles)

The role involves gas and electricity metering services in the commercial sector, with two tracks: Elite (including Warrant Officer and debt resolution duties) and Non-Elite (metering only). Candidates need dual fuel smart metering experience, CMA1/CCN1, MET1, and a UK driving licence. Salary up to £55,000 realistic earnings, plus retention bonus up to £60,000 after three years.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, exchange, commission, remove, and maintain metering systems and associated equipment.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer interactions.
- Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits and act as Warrant Officer (supported).
- Non-Elite Engineers: Focus exclusively on dual fuel metering duties.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Take accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle.
- Work collaboratively and be open to ongoing development.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass colour blindness test and DBS check
Desirable:
- MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1 – Medium Pressure
Salary & Benefits
- Elite Dual Fuel: £43,260 (Realistic earning potential £50K–£55K)
- Non-Elite Dual Fuel: £38,110
- London Elite: £45,320 / London Non-Elite: £40,170
- Retention Bonus Scheme: Up to £60,000 after three years
