The role involves gas and electricity metering services in the commercial sector, with options for warrant officer duties (Elite) or purely technical metering work (Non-Elite). Candidates must have smart metering experience, relevant qualifications (CMA1/CCN1, MET1), and a UK driving licence. Role Details
Reports to: Regional Field Manager
Location: Field UK Based Bradford - BD
Working hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (rotating shifts: 6am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 11am-7pm)
Salary Options: Elite Dual Fuel: £43,260 (realistic earning potential £50K–£55K); Non-Elite Dual Fuel: £38,110; London Elite: £45,320; London Non-Elite: £40,170

The Role & What We Need from Yü
Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits, alternate between attending Warrants as on-site engineer and acting as Warrant Officer (always supported).
Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work — no Warrant or debt visits.
All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, Gas U16–U40. Future progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
- Demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to take on a variety of field metering tasks.
- Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of metering systems.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer interactions.
- Elite: Warrant Officer and friendly debt resolution visits. Non-Elite: core dual fuel metering duties only.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, metering standards, and company procedures.
- Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle care.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
- Open to ongoing development through technical training and mentoring.
About Yü
Essential Qualifications/Experience: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel), CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent), Certificate in Power.
Desirable: MET4, CT, Three Phase, REGT1 (Medium Pressure).
Additional Requirements: UK Driving Licence, pass colour blindness test, pass DBS check.
