Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer based in Guildford (field UK). Two role options: Elite (Warrant Officer duties) or Non-Elite (metering only). Permanent full-time, onsite, with salary up to £55,000 per year plus retention bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal, and maintenance of gas & electricity metering systems
  • Elite Engineers: Undertake debt resolution visits and act as Warrant Officer (supported)
  • Non-Elite Engineers: Focus purely on technical metering, no warrant or debt work
  • Comply with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Accountability for stock, tools, and company vehicle
  • Collaborate with team and management to deliver business goals

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
  • CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
  • Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Pass colour blindness test and DBS check

Desirable:

  • MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
  • Current Transformer (CT)
  • Three Phase
  • REGT1 – Medium Pressure

Salary & Benefits

Salary Options:

  • Elite Dual Fuel: £43,260 (realistic £50K–£55K)
  • Non-Elite Dual Fuel: £38,110
  • London Elite: £45,320 | London Non-Elite: £40,170

Working Hours & Shifts

40 hours per week, rotating shifts: 6am-3pm, 8am-5pm, 11am-7pm. No on-call rota.
