Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer for the North West London area. The role involves gas and electricity metering services in the commercial sector. Two career paths are offered: Elite (includes Warrant Officer duties and friendly debt resolution) or Non-Elite (pure metering without warrant work). This is a permanent full-time onsite position with a base salary of £43,260/year and realistic earning potential up to £55K, plus a retention bonus scheme up to £60,000 after three years.
Role & Requirements
You'll work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Depending on your role choice:
- Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits; alternate between attending Warrants as on-site engineer and acting as Warrant Officer (always supported).
- Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work — no Warrant or debt visits.
All engineers receive full technical support, mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, Gas U16–U40. Future progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
Essential Qualifications
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
- CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass colour blindness test
- Pass DBS check
Desirable
- MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1 – Medium Pressure
