Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer to join our team in Tonbridge, UK. This full-time, permanent role offers two career paths: Elite (with warrant officer duties) and Non-Elite (metering only). Salary ranges from £38,110 to £45,320 base, with realistic earning potential up to £55,000 plus retention bonus up to £60,000.

Role & Responsibilities

You will work predominantly in the commercial sector, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of gas and electricity metering services. Depending on your role choice:

  • Elite Engineers: Undertake friendly debt resolution visits, alternate between attending Warrants as on-site engineer and acting as Warrant Officer (always supported).
  • Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only): Focus purely on technical metering work – no warrant or debt visits.

All engineers receive full technical support, ongoing mentoring, and opportunities to upskill in areas such as Three-Phase, Medium Pressure, Half-Hourly/CT Metering, and Gas U16–U40. Future progression to Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, or Regional Field Manager.

Essential qualifications: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience, CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent), Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent). Desirable: MET4, CT, Three Phase, REGT1. Additional requirements: UK Driving Licence, colour blindness test, DBS check.
