Senior Electrical Contracts Manager

Role Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee all electrical contract elements.
- Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
- Resource Management: Allocate labour, materials, and equipment effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce robust health and safety practices.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and control expenditure.
- Risk Management: Implement mitigation and contingency plans.
- Client Relations: Act as main client contact.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project records.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineers and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in electrical engineering and project management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, BS 7671 wiring regulations.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail in compliance, safety, and quality.
Core Electrical Qualifications
- 236 Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing.
- JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).
Certifications (Preferred)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- PMP or PRINCE2.
- NEC3/NEC4 Contract Training.
Work Environment
Based at the Exeter Office until December, then transitioning to Derriford Hospital FHP1 site in Plymouth until December 2028. Fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
