FULL DESCRIPTION

Catering Assistant

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Catering Assistant to deliver excellent service standards at a B&Q Distribution Centre in Doncaster. The role is permanent, full-time (25 hours per week) with a pay of £12.74 per hour.

  • Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (2:00pm to 7:00pm) & Sunday (9:30am to 2:30pm)

Role Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
  • Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
  • Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
  • Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

What we're looking for

  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
  • Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
  • Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
