Passive Fire - Surveyor
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Passive Fire Protection Surveyor to join their growing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Fire Protection team in Glasgow. This role focuses on ensuring fire safety contracts are managed efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed fire door and passive fire inspections to assess compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Identify and record defects or non-compliant elements within fire doors, frames, and associated hardware.
- Carry out risk assessments to evaluate potential fire safety impacts and prioritise remedial actions.
- Produce comprehensive inspection reports, highlighting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations.
- Provide guidance and support on fire door maintenance, compartmentation, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and fire safety officers to ensure installations meet regulations.
- Contribute to training and awareness sessions for building occupants and staff on fire safety best practice.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices within passive fire protection.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in Fire Door Surveying and Passive Fire Protection.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g. CSCS, SMSTS, PASMA preferred; FIRAS accreditation desirable).
- Excellent technical understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital reporting systems.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (travel and overnight stays required).
