Role Overview
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is the UK's leading facilities management and professional services company. We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to lead the delivery of electrical maintenance services within a complex estates environment at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of electrical maintenance services, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient planned and reactive works.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership to the electrical team, ensuring statutory compliance and high technical standards.
- Deliver and implement all aspects of planned and reactive electrical maintenance in line with contract KPIs.
- Champion a Right First Time approach through fault investigation and root‑cause analysis.
- Deputise for the Electrical Manager when required.
- Ensure statutory, PPM, and corrective maintenance tasks are delivered to standards and within timeframes.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HTM requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the electrical team, managing performance and attendance.
- Work collaboratively with estates colleagues, clinical staff, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven supervisory experience in electrical maintenance
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience managing subcontractors
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
- IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to obtain)
- CAFM systems operations
Desirable:
- Experience in healthcare, PFI, or complex estates environments
- Competent Person/Authorised Person accreditation for electrical systems
- Experience with HTM 06‑01 / 06‑02 / 06‑03 standards
Additional Information
This role may require regular entry to high-risk or forensically clean areas of the SARC at Rainbow. The successful candidate will be required to provide a DNA sample for the Staff Elimination Database.
