Lead Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Lead Engineer to join its [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] division. The role involves managing and supporting a team of fire and security engineers, ensuring compliance, responding to customer needs, planning maintenance, and deputising for the Regional Service Manager. Candidates need at least 5 years' experience as a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer, a full UK driving licence, and flexibility for travel and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure performance and service are in line with compliance and monthly schedules
- Respond to customer needs, complaints, and concerns with urgency
- Complete toolbox talks with direct reports
- Be available for site surveys and installation handovers
- Organise and maintain an effective call-out rota for the area
- Responsible for minor works within the area
- Assist the Regional Service Manager in management of engineering team
- Deputise for Regional Service Manager during absences
- Support engineers in stock control
- Attend troublesome sites and complaints
- Technically support DRS and Sales Team with quotations
- Initial planning of PPM on large/complex sites
- Assist in delivery of small bespoke projects
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 years' experience as a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer
- Technical background in electrical/electronic industry beneficial
- Front-line customer service experience preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence – mandatory
- Flexibility to travel and be part of on-call rota
