Painter And Decorator
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their team working across the North West. This is a full-time permanent position based in Chorley, offering £15.83 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating, including surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs.
- Working with both internal and external finishes using a variety of materials and techniques.
- Safely erecting and using access equipment (training provided).
- Installing temporary screening to protect work areas and the public.
- Monitoring material usage and maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Ensuring tools and equipment are properly used, cleaned, and maintained.
- Following work plans and completing tasks within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Recording work activity and completion using mobile technology (training provided).
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience in painting and decorating.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent preferred; time-served or apprenticeship-trained candidates are ideal.
- Excellent attention to detail, good communication, and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Driving licence preferred but not essential.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to upload job information and photos.
