Security Officer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Security Officer to protect customer property, people, and assets in Hull. This full-time role requires an SIA license and security experience. Closing date: 15 May 2026.

Job Overview

  • Protect customer property, people and/or assets by providing security services in accordance with site Assignment Instructions.
  • Deliver results meeting KPI/SLA targets.
  • Undertake additional training for continuous self-development.

Main Duties

Operations

  • Ensure compliance with policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete all tasks as defined in Assignment Instructions.
  • Proactively review Assignment Instructions and suggest improvements.
  • Obtain and maintain front-line SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA licence.
  • Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements.

Training

  • Complete all required competency training.
  • Undertake additional training for continuous self-development.
  • Use technology to achieve work objectives.
  • Renew SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

  • Report any Health & Safety hazards immediately.
  • Stay alert to threats or changes.
  • Use common sense and initiative in threatening situations.
  • Maintain professional conduct.
  • Complete accurate notebook entries after incidents.
  • Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and the Client.
  • Ensure check calls at allocated times.
  • Call emergency services and Communication Centre for incidents.
