Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Engineer Bias
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) for night shift in Perth. This is a full-time, on-site role providing reliable engineering support during night hours.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical installations and maintenance in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
- Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.
- Use appropriate test equipment and tools with full understanding of their limitations.
- Follow all safety procedures, including no live working and strict lockout/tagout.
- Work as a multi-skilled engineer, supporting electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, alignment, and repairs.
- Carry out mechanical fixes, building fabric repairs, and plumbing checks as required.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site.
- Work autonomously as the night-shift technical lead.
- Attend toolbox talks and participate in safety briefings.
- Raise safety concerns confidently and professionally.
Qualifications
- Qualified to BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) – desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant machinery, and controls.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently on night shifts.
- A genuinely multi-skilled mindset—willing to turn your hand to any task required to keep the site running.
