Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at Hull Community Diagnostic Centre. You will deliver safe, compliant, and reliable maintenance services, acting as the site electrical lead while providing multi-skilled engineering support in a live healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
  • Undertake fault-finding, diagnosis, repair and replacement on electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and building services interfaces.
  • Support LV switchgear operations and electrical testing/inspection activities.
  • Provide first-line mechanical and fabric support: minor plumbing, basic HVAC, building fabric repairs.
  • Work safely in clinical and patient-occupied areas, liaising with clinical teams to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records on CAFM system and ensure compliance with health & safety policies.
  • Escort and supervise specialist contractors, support audits and compliance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), experience in commercial, healthcare, or critical environments, proven multi-skilled maintenance capability.

Desirable: Healthcare or Community Diagnostic Centre experience, basic HVAC/mechanical knowledge, IOSH Working Safely, Authorised Person/Competent Person experience.
