Water Technician - Level 1

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Water Technician – Level 1 in Glasgow, UK. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for water treatment maintenance and monitoring.

Role Responsibilities

  • TMV valve servicing both failsafe and strip down
  • Cleaning of the cooling towers & tanks (2nd person)
  • Tank inspections
  • Temperature monitoring and accurate recording of results
  • Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory
  • Descaling and cleaning of showers & shower heads
  • Flushing of little‑used outlets
  • Complete allocated jobs within agreed timescales
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with method statements and fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services
  • Must not exceed one audit failure per year

Required Qualifications

  • Strong basic water treatment knowledge with analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication, good literacy, and strong client-service skills
  • Excellent time management and administration abilities, including confidence using phone or tablet apps
  • Excellent time‑keeping, cultural awareness, sound work ethics and ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Holds a valid UK Driving Licence and meets compliant DBS and customer‑specific security check requirements
