FULL DESCRIPTION

Relief Security Officer Retail

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Relief Security Officer Retail to protect customer property, people, and assets at retail locations in Birmingham. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring an SIA license, CCTV PSS license, previous security experience, and own vehicle. Closing date: 7 May 2026.

Job Overview

  • To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
  • Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
  • To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Main Duties

  • Operations: Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements; complete all tasks as per Assignment Instructions; review and propose improvements; obtain front-line SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS licence; follow safety and procedural instructions.
  • Training: Complete required competency training; undertake additional training for self-development; use technology; renew SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry.
  • Security and Health & Safety: Report hazards; stay alert to threats; maintain professionalism; complete accurate incident reports; carry out check calls; call emergency services and Communication Centre when needed.
