Cleaning Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our dedicated cleaning team at a busy College of Policing site. This is a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors. You'll be part of a large, supportive team working across various areas of the site, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are consistently met.
Main Duties
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, classrooms, offices, communal areas, and specialist spaces.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with team members to cover all areas efficiently.
- Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential – training will be provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
- Understanding of health and safety practices in a cleaning environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture.
