Trainee Asbestos Laboratory Analyst
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a Trainee Asbestos Laboratory Analyst at its [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] division in Cardiff. This full-time role involves analyzing bulk samples for asbestos content in line with HSE guidance.
Role Responsibilities
- Analyse bulk samples in accordance with Asbestos: The Analysts' Guide (HSG 248).
- Book in samples received from site and complete all associated data entry on TEAMS.
- Complete certificates of analysis and close completed work within required timescales.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, security of equipment and accurate record keeping at all times.
- Maintain technical compliance, following company procedures and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BOHS P401 or equivalent recognised qualification.
- BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA) or RSPH Asbestos Bulk Analysis (PLM).
- RSPH Level 4 Certificate in Asbestos and Project Management (desirable).
