Cleaning Operative

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Cleaning Operative (Cleaner) for a part-time, permanent position at Imperial College, Ascot. The role involves cleaning duties, maintaining equipment, following safety procedures, and delivering excellent customer service. No previous experience required, but good communication and reliability are key. Salary £13.85 per hour, 30 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities

Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order
Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules
Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used
Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training
Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service

What we're looking for

Ability to communicate and read basic English
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
Flexible and proactive approach to work
Open, honest, self-driven, and determined attitude
Reliable and hardworking with a professional demeanour
