Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical Engineer Bias

Role Responsibilities

• Provide a multi-skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance service, delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance in line with project requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Carry out modifications, installations, maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability.
• Act as an Authorised Person (AP) where appointed and serve as the local point of contact for permit raising within relevant disciplines.
• Liaise effectively with contractors and external suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly and to required standards.
• Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner, reporting any deficiencies that may impact service delivery, health and safety or the environment.

Required Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• HND, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering subject (NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance – multi-discipline preferred).
• A minimum of 5 years' experience (preferably 10 years) within building services and plant engineering.
• Previous appointment as Authorised Person in one or more disciplines, including LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, or Boiler and Pressure Systems.
• Experience working within the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and good knowledge of statutory compliance within buildings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Numerate and computer literate, with the ability to produce accurate reports and documentation.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of work in line with company policies, procedures, and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Flexibility to support other contract-specific sites and changes within the contracted estate.
