Mobile HVAC Engineer

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repair of mechanical installations across the site.
  • Maintain ventilation systems including air handling units (AHUs) and intake/extract systems.
  • Maintain heating and cooling systems, including thermal wheels and fan coil units (FCUs).
  • Work on water systems such as booster sets, calorifiers, and water heaters.
  • Undertake both planned preventative and reactive maintenance, from basic plumbing to statutory compliance tasks like legionella monitoring.
  • Respond to client queries, identify and report defects, and provide clear updates.
  • Ensure all inspections, remedial works, and service activities are accurately recorded.
  • Work safely at height, in confined spaces, and handle manual tasks in line with safe working practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Maintenance or Facilities Management environment.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications: F-Gas, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 5, or HNC (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Permit to Work systems, and safe working practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • Competent in using a mobile device for reporting and record keeping.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
