School Caretaker

The role involves maintaining the school premises, ensuring safety and security, performing cleaning duties, conducting PPM tasks like fire alarm tests, and supporting out-of-hours building use. The position is full-time, permanent, paying £13.31 per hour. Candidates should have previous caretaking experience (preferred), be reliable, and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake all required training and follow [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
  • Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
  • Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
