Cleaning Operative- Campsfield IRC

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a full-time Cleaning Operative at Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre in Oxford. The role involves providing comprehensive cleaning services in a secure environment, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards. Responsibilities include cleaning all areas, maintaining equipment, and reporting maintenance issues.

Role Responsibilities

  • To provide a comprehensive cleaning service in designated areas to meet the standards identified in the cleaning schedule.
  • Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, fixtures and fittings, to ensure cleanliness standards and a hygienic environment are maintained.
  • Operate in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment so that it remains serviceable and ready to use, ensuring no time delay in achieving required standards.
  • Use, handle, transport and store equipment and materials securely and correctly at all times to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Identify and report any areas requiring repair or maintenance so that corrective action can be taken.
  • Notify relevant staff of stock levels so that the availability of cleaning materials is maintained.
  • Work within a Detention setting.
  • On occasion, undertake the cleaning of body fluids (blood, urine and faeces).

Required Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with COSHH and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards.
  • Comfortable working within a Detention environment.
