Relief Security Officer

Job Overview

At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we are eagerly looking for passionate security enthusiasts to join our Security Guard teams nationwide for our new project with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a professional and dedicated team that makes a difference in communities across the United Kingdom.

Flexibility to travel, as this role will cover various DWP sites within the South Wales region. Full UK driving licence required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for the DWP staff, visitors, and property.
  • Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.
  • Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
  • Adhere to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.

Security and Health & Safety

  • Look out for, and immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
  • Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment.
  • Use common sense and initiative by involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
  • Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations.
  • Complete accurate notebook entries and incident reports.
  • Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and the Client.
  • Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

Requirements

  • Previous Security Experience
  • DS Licence Preferred
  • Full UK driving licence required.
