Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional - Part Time
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a part-time Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional to work in police custody suites in Bridgend. You will provide healthcare to detainees, working collaboratively with the police. This role requires an RN/RGN or Paramedic with at least two years of post-qualification clinical experience in a relevant setting (A&E, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service). A valid driving license is required, and all candidates must pass Police Vetting. Salary: £20,500 per year plus a £500 retention bonus after 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare to detainees in police custody suites
- Work in collaboration with police to ensure 24/7 coverage
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide appropriate care
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Adhere to forensic healthcare protocols
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN/RGN) or Paramedic with 2 years post-qualification experience
- Valid UK Driving License
- Eligible to work in the UK (British Passport or ILR with 3+ years residency, no gaps over 3 months)
- Ability to pass Police Vetting
- Flexibility to work across assigned region in South Wales Police custody suites
Working Pattern & Benefits
Part-time: fixed shift pattern of 2 day shifts (06:45-19:00), 8 days off, 2 night shifts (18:45-07:00), 4 days off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
