School Caretaker

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] at Aylesford School, Teapot Lane, Aylesford, Kent. Full-time, permanent, £13.84 per hour. Requires caretaking experience (preferred), commitment to safeguarding, and an enhanced DBS check.

Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake all required training and follow [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
  • Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
  • Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.

  • Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
