Relief Security Officer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Relief Security Officer for B&Q stores in Drumchapel, Glasgow. This is a full-time role with a rate of £12.91/hour, minimum 11 hours per week, offering benefits like paid holiday, cycle to work scheme, and virtual GP access.
Job Overview
To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract. To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
Main Duties
- Operations: Ensure compliance with policies and legal/regulatory requirements; complete tasks per Assignment Instructions; review and suggest improvements to AIs; obtain and maintain SIA front-line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS licence; comply with safety requirements; follow instructions systematically.
- Training: Complete all required competency training; undertake additional training for self-development; use technology for work objectives; renew SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Security and Health & Safety: Report health & safety hazards; stay alert to threats; use common sense in difficult situations; maintain professional conduct; complete detailed notebook entries after incidents; keep to schedules; perform check calls; call emergency services and Communication Centre for incidents.

- Previous Security Experience
- SIA License
- SC Clearance desirable
