Client Manager Accountant
We are [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking for an Accountant to join the team in their Gateshead office.
- Location: Gateshead – Office based
- Job Type: Full time, Permanent
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Holiday: 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per year up to 28 days
- Closing date: 16-03-2026
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing year end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs
- Supporting junior staff within the team
- Working closely with clients, other members of the accounts team and other departments
- Delivering excellent client service
- Preparing management accounts
- Involvement with workflow implementation and management
- Assisting with driving technological solutions in accounting
- VAT returns
- Bookkeeping for clients
- Assisting with ad-hoc client support
About You
- Ideally at least 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- ACA / ACCA Qualified or qualified by experience
- Good working knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting
- Great attention to detail along with strong organisational skills
- Pro-active and positive attitude
