Personal Tax Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax returns comprising of company directors, property owners, high net worth individuals, sole traders and partnerships.
• Being first point of contact for our clients and assisting the directors with ad hoc queries.
• Assist with advice in relation to Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax and potentially a portfolio of Trusts.
• Other specific areas of knowledge which would be useful are national insurance, overseas matters and farmers averaging.
• You will be involved in the training of students and provide ad hoc tax advice for the accounts team.

About You

• Ideally you will have formal qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CTA. We are happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience.
• Possesses excellent analytical and review skills.
• Is eager to progress and develop, with the willingness to adapt.
• Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity.
• Has the ability and desire to coach and develop junior members of staff.
• A self-starter with the motivation to see projects through to completion.
• An effective communicator and listener who would collaborate well with the rest of our team.
• Wants to make a positive impact on our firm and be part of our journey into the future.

Additional Information

• Salary: £36,000 - £42,000, depending on experience and qualifications
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (part time considered)
