Accounts Manager / Assistant Manager

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Accountant at Assistant Manager or Manager level to join our Lewes Business Hub. You'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, lead the delivery of accounts from planning to completion, and support the development of a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Develop strong client relationships, ensuring expectations, deadlines and service levels are met
• Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-selling
• Oversee the accounts process from planning through to completion, allocating work appropriately across the team
• Review and finalise company accounts, corporation tax returns, management accounts and VAT returns
• Conduct 1:1s and appraisals, support training and development

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with minimum of 2-5 years portfolio management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
• Working knowledge of accounting software including Sage and Xero
• Strong Excel skills (including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables)
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
