About the Accountant role

We currently have an exciting opening for a Senior Accountant in our Professional Services division.

Our Professional Services division is a compact team in Northern Ireland, working with a much larger team in India; this role provides boundless opportunity and variety. You will be technically strong, an excellent communicator, and have strong people skills.

This role has much crossover with a general practice accountant, but offers unrivalled opportunities for progression. It will suit an ambitious, technically skilled all-rounder with strong practice experience, excellent communication skills and a desire to lead.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing, supporting, and training an international team in providing accounting support to clients
  • Preparing and finalising year end accounts and corporation tax returns for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs
  • Reviewing bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
  • Delivering excellent client service
  • Involvement with workflow implementation and management
  • Assisting with driving technological solutions in accounting

About you

  • Qualified accountant (CAI/ACCA/ICAEW)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Great attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Pro-active, self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Previous experience of CCH, Quickbooks, Xero and Sage advantageous
  • Knowledge of payroll advantageous
  • Leadership qualities and experience
