[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for an experienced Head of Hospitality to join the leadership team of a well-established, values-driven elderly care provider.
This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to shape and elevate hospitality standards across a large portfolio of care homes. The position will lead on the development and delivery of a consistent, high-quality approach to catering, dining, activities, housekeeping and laundry, ensuring an exceptional experience for residents across all locations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing service delivery with a particular focus on improving catering and activity engagement provision across the group.
This role will combine both strategic leadership and operational involvement, working closely with the quality and operational teams, while maintaining a hands-on approach to driving standards, consistency and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience operating at a senior level within hospitality, catering or service-led environments, ideally across multi-site operations within healthcare, social care, or a similarly regulated setting.
- You will be confident influencing senior stakeholders and operational leaders, with the ability to drive change and standardise practices across a diverse portfolio of services.
- Experience working with decentralised teams will be essential, alongside the ability to build credibility quickly with teams, including chefs and activities coordinators.
- The role requires someone who can take ownership of a newly created function, developing and embedding frameworks, standards and processes that enhance the resident experience while remaining commercially viable.
- The ideal candidate will be a visible and hands-on leader, comfortable operating both strategically and operationally, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality hospitality within a care setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior hospitality, catering or service leadership role (Head of Hospitality or equivalent).
- Experience operating across multi-site environments.
- Background within healthcare, social care or other regulated environments.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget management and supplier oversight.
- Experience driving quality improvement, standardisation and service consistency.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Location
The role is based in Aylesbury with a hybrid working model and national travel. It is commutable from: High Wycombe, Oxford, Reading, Slough, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Luton, Maidenhead, Windsor, Northampton and surrounding areas.
