Key Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of running a smooth and efficient day-to-day pharmacy service, including acting as the Responsible Pharmacist and supervising pharmacy staff.
- Assist in the provision of a patient-focused clinical pharmacy and dispensing service.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in managing the work of the pharmacy team and co-ordinating operational deployment of staff.
- Liaise with staff including other staff in the Centre, Nursing staff, and Consultants concerning prescriptions and medicine management issues.
- Provide pharmaceutical advice ensuring safe, effective, economical and timely pharmaceutical care for patients and compliance with medicines legislation.
- Participate in Saturday duty cover if required.
What You Can Bring
- Member of the GPhC as a registered Pharmacist
- MPharm or equivalent
- Good understanding of patient care pathways and processes
- Dispensary experience – community or hospital
- Experience of policy/procedure guideline development
- Clinical audit experience
- Demonstrates good clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage complex problems and prioritise well under pressure
