Role Overview
This is a commissioning role offering the opportunity to lead a 51-bed service focused on self-funding residents, delivering high-quality residential and dementia care with a lifestyle-led approach. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, systems, and future direction of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning and opening of a new luxury care home
- Take full responsibility for day-to-day operational management
- Drive occupancy through marketing, networking, and community engagement
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing care and leadership team
- Oversee CQC registration, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Implement systems, processes, and operational structures from inception
- Manage relationships with external partners
- Ensure delivery of a premium, person-centred care experience
- Balance commercial performance with quality outcomes
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) qualification desirable but not essential
- Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly care
- Strong understanding of the self-funding/private pay market
- Demonstrable commercial awareness with ability to drive occupancy
- Experience in community engagement and building referral pipelines
- Track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality care standards
Desirable: Commissioning or opening new services, exposure to luxury care environments, dementia care expertise, experience with digital care systems.
