Role Overview

This is a commissioning role offering the opportunity to lead a 51-bed service focused on self-funding residents, delivering high-quality residential and dementia care with a lifestyle-led approach. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, systems, and future direction of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning and opening of a new luxury care home
  • Take full responsibility for day-to-day operational management
  • Drive occupancy through marketing, networking, and community engagement
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing care and leadership team
  • Oversee CQC registration, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Implement systems, processes, and operational structures from inception
  • Manage relationships with external partners
  • Ensure delivery of a premium, person-centred care experience
  • Balance commercial performance with quality outcomes

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) qualification desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within elderly care
  • Strong understanding of the self-funding/private pay market
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness with ability to drive occupancy
  • Experience in community engagement and building referral pipelines
  • Track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality care standards

Desirable: Commissioning or opening new services, exposure to luxury care environments, dementia care expertise, experience with digital care systems.
