£45,000 – £48,000 per annum | Mitcham, South West London | Office-Based | Full-time | Mon – Fri, 9:00am – 5:00pm | No Shift Work

Overview

Due to continued growth and investment in clinical quality, our client is seeking a Clinical Educator to support workforce development and maintain high clinical standards across their services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN or RCN) with complex care experience who is passionate about education, training, and improving patient outcomes. The organisation supports individuals with a wide range of complex conditions including spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, respiratory needs, brain injuries, and learning disabilities, delivering tailored, person-centred care within community and home environments.

The Role

As Clinical Educator, you will play a key role in delivering face-to-face clinical training, competency assessments, and workforce development across the organisation. You will work closely with Regional Lead Nurses, Nurse Case Managers, and senior clinical leadership to identify learning needs and develop training programmes that support safe and effective care delivery. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required to support clinical teams and client needs in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate clinical training programmes in tracheostomy care, airway management, enteral nutrition and other specialist areas
  • Deliver mandatory and specialist clinical training
  • Conduct competency assessments for clinical staff
  • Support clinical induction and onboarding
  • Maintain training records and compliance
  • Identify workforce learning needs with clinical teams
  • Support continuous improvement of training programmes
  • Promote patient safety and clinical excellence
  • Provide mentorship and support to clinical staff

Criteria

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active UK NMC registration
  • Experience supporting individuals with tracheostomies and ventilator care
  • Experience delivering training, mentoring, or staff development
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
